Our client is an international organisation.
Advise on all aspects of the selection process, including providing advisory
support to the Board Leadership and Chair of the Nomination Committee, under the supervision of the Deputy, Governance, and Head, Legal and Governance Department.
Develop core governance materials pertaining to the launch of the selection process, for consultation, consideration and adoption by the Board, including Terms of Reference for the Nomination Committee and for the Inspector General.
Develop a comprehensive work plan for the Selection Process, including a strategy for engagement with Board constituencies, risk assessment and mitigation measures, communications plan, and due diligence steps, with due attention to lessons learned from past selection processes.
In liaison with the Board Leadership and Head, Governance Department, manage the timely nomination, appointment, and onboarding process to establish a strong and representative Nomination Committee.
Throughout the work of the Nomination Committee, provide advisory and coordination support to all activities, including: preparing meeting documentation; ensuring accurate and confidential record-keeping; tracking actions and their implementation; and preparing reports and presentations to the Board, including undertaking all necessary steps to
support the Nomination Committee's final recommendation to the Board for the timely appointment of the Inspector General.
Manage and/or provide advisory support on specific governance reform initiatives or governance processes identified by either the Deputy, Governance, or Head, Governance Department.
Independently lead or collaborate on project planning and implementation (including risk identification, mitigation and escalation; securing required approvals and guidance from Board and committees), evaluation and monitoring, and project closure, including identification and oversight of external service providers as required.
Prepare and present materials on governance-related issues to the Board and/or its standing committees.
Essential: Advanced university degree in a social science, public health, law and other relevant areas of study, or a first degree and at least 10 years of relevant post-first degree experience.
Desirable: Master degree and qualifications in global development, governance, international relations/politics or public policy
Experience working in a governance-related position in a multi stakeholder setting and an international or multicultural environment
At least 7-10 years of relevant (post-University) work experience
Experience in executive office settings requiring diplomacy and tact, discretion and high levels of confidentiality
Experience of managing complex multi-stakeholder projects
Project Management: knowledge of project management principles to navigate change. Ability to manage and implement complex projects requiring Board decision.
Ability to remain flexible in a dynamic and fast-moving environment, in order to resolve challenges and deliver results.
Business: understanding of organizational processes to bring practical solutions
