Job Description

Reporting to the Credit & Accounts Receivable Associate Manager, EMEA, you are responsible for the DACH region to chase outstanding debts from customers in line with the Global Credit Policy. You control accounts receivable ledger and proactively analyze market to reduce risks. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Cash collection, contact with customers to speed-up collection and achieve related targets, payments follow up and tracking, dealing with customers' issues to ensure payment
  • Generate monthly statements and dunning letters
  • Prepare clean remittance advice for cash application for each payment
  • Analyze new and active customers' situation to prevent and reduce credit risk
  • Set-up and maintain customer credit limits
  • Manage credit holds for overdue accounts
  • Establish credit insurance where appropriate
  • In collaboration with the Sales teams, manage the clearing of Debit Memos relating to customer deductions, ensuring their validity and follow up daily invoice
  • Submit monthly bad debt provision calculations and make recommendation
  • Prepare and maintain accruals liaising with General Ledger, based on agreed customer' conditions
  • Prepare regular reports on Aging, DSO and open items in Accounts Receivable balance
  • Give support on Accounts Receivable Month-End closing related duties and provide all necessary data to General Ledger

The Successful Applicant

You have strong organization skills and a focus on attention to detail. You are flexible, have a problem solving attitude with a pragmatic approach. You have excellent communication skills and be a natural team player with multi-cultural awareness.

Technical requirements:

  • Financial or administrative background with credit control experience in an international FMCG or equivalent
  • Fluent in German and English, a must
  • Computer literate with good Excel skills
  • Good knowledge of Oracle
  • Commercial awareness
